About Tawasul
What this is
- What does Tawasul mean?
- Tawasul (تواصل) means connection or communication. The name describes the job: connecting the parts of the talent system that already exist but do not currently hand off to each other.
- What problem does Tawasul solve?
- The Emirati Talent Paradox — employers report difficulty finding job-ready Emirati talent while capable Emiratis struggle to gain meaningful early experience. It is not a shortage of talent. It is a conversion problem with seven identifiable leakage points between potential and sustained performance.
- How is Tawasul different from a recruitment platform?
- A job platform aggregates vacancies and applicants. It does not develop readiness, produce evidence, support onboarding or stay accountable for retention. Tawasul is built around the whole journey, and measures itself at twelve months rather than at placement.
- How is Tawasul different from a training provider?
- Training usually ends at completion. Our pathways start from employer demand, attach assessment to practice, produce evidence the participant owns, and continue into applied experience, mentoring, matching and post-placement support.
- How does Tawasul relate to Nafis and MoHRE programmes?
- It complements them. Government mechanisms set requirements, incentives and national infrastructure. Tawasul is a delivery layer that helps convert those into readiness, evidence, performance and retention. We do not duplicate national programmes and we point participants to them where they are the better route.
Taking part
Participation and cost
- Who is eligible?
- Tawasul is designed for Emirati students, graduates and early-career professionals. Individual pathways may carry their own entry requirements, which are stated on the pathway.
- Do you guarantee a job?
- No, and we would not trust an organisation that did. We promise preparation tied to real employer demand, evidence you own, access to mentors and employers, honest feedback, and support through selection and your first months. Where placement is part of a specific programme, the terms are stated in writing before you commit.
- What does it cost?
- It depends on the pathway and on whether it is sponsored by an employer, academic partner or funder. All fees are quoted in AED, in full, before enrolment. There are no fees payable to secure an introduction to an employer.
- Can employers sponsor participants?
- Yes. Sponsored cohorts are one of the main routes, and they let an employer shape a pathway around the capabilities they actually need.
Data and AI
How we handle your information
- What data do you collect, and why?
- We collect what a defined purpose requires — assessment results, learning records, portfolio work and the details you give us — and we tell you what each is for. We do not collect data speculatively in case it becomes useful later.
- Who sees my evidence?
- Evidence is shared with an employer with your consent, and you can see what is shared. You can correct your profile, and you can ask us to delete it.
- Do you use AI to make decisions about me?
- AI supports career exploration, learning, coaching and matching. High-impact decisions retain human oversight, recommendations can be explained, and models are checked for bias — because a matching system trained on who has historically been hired would reproduce exactly the network advantage this system exists to remove.
